Program Information

The conference program will be available in January. Until then you can see the sessions from last year on the Program page to get an idea of what’s in store for Prepárate 2020. The several types of sessions at Prepárate are listed below.

Plenary Sessions

Prepárate plenary sessions bring together dynamic thought leaders to address access and success issues that challenge—and inspire—educators at all levels and in all professions.

Concurrent Sessions

Most concurrent sessions are comprised of panels of education experts and practitioners focused on one topic of significance to the Latino/a/X community. These sessions foster discussion of best practices in education or highlight innovative programs to increase access and promote student success.

Roundtable Sessions

Roundtable sessions are designed as a topical facilitated discussion. The success of the session is reliant on attendee discussion and interaction. Roundtable sessions are deliberately offered with fewer seats to encourage smaller groups of attendees.

Spotlight Sessions

These 15-minute mini-sessions highlight new programs and initiatives from College Board or its partner organizations during the Networking Break.

For all sessions, attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis, and advance registration isn’t required. Seating will begin 15 minutes prior to the session start time.

Proof of Attendance Forms

If you need proof of attendance for your institution, please pick up a Proof of Attendance form at the information desk or ask the staff monitoring the sessions you’re attending. Have the session monitor validate the form with a CB sticker. Keep the form for your records. We don’t issue IACET Continuing Education Unit (CEU) certificates for Prepárate.

Transportation

McCarran International Airport serves Las Vegas with non-stop service from most major US cities and all major U.S. airline carriers.

Information on ground transportation options from the airport can be found on the airport website: www.mccarran.com/Transportation.

College Board does not provide or cover the costs of transportation.

Cancellation and Substitution Policy

Cancellations will be accepted up to 15 days prior to the start of the event. Cancellations must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET for a registrant to receive a refund via the original payment method minus a $75 cancellation fee. No refunds or credits will be issued on cancellations after this date.

Substitutions of a colleague from the same institution are accepted. To request a substitution, email the conference planner and provide the new registrant’s name and contact information.

No Show Policy

Any participant who has registered for a conference, who has not cancelled per the cancellation policy, or does not attend must still submit payment in full.

Guest and Children Policy

You may purchase a ticket for a guest to attend certain networking and meal functions during the conference. Guests wishing to attend a session must register for that portion of the conference to attend. You may purchase tickets for guests on-site at the conference. Children are not permitted at the conference.
